Christie's Auction

At Christie's auction house in central London on December 15, 2015, the Prime Ministerial Despatch Box of former British Prime, Minister Margaret Thatcher is displayed during an auction of items belonging to her. It was expected to fetch between £3,000-£5,000. Instead, the famous red ministerial box fetched £242,500.
