Despatch Boxes belonging to Peter Thomas MP, later Baron Thomas of Gwydir. The first Welshman to become Chairman of the Conservative Party. The Boxes were locked and full of private papers. The Boxes were carefully opened without damaging them and both Boxes and papers were returned to Baron Thomas’ daughter Jane.
